Snowdonia Arts Festival

Every year in early October, Betws-y-Coed hosts the Snowdonia Arts Festival.

Originally conceived as the Betws-y-Coed Arts Festival in 2009, the festival celebrates the artistic past, present, and future of the area with exhibitions and events based on the work of the Artists’ Colony,  the many artists practising in the region today, and projects with local schools.

The main attractions of the Snowdonia Arts Festival are the visual art exhibitions held at a number of venues around the village, and complimenting these are workshops by local professional artists, music & poetry recitals, a large craft marquee, and children’s dance and drama workshops.

Snowdonia Arts Festival is run by volunteers and funded entirely by grants, voluntary donations, and any receipts through festival weekend.  This year Alison will be donating an original picture to be raffled for the benefit of the festival, for more details see our Snowdonia Arts Festival 2012 Grand Raffle page.
