Car Parking On-road car parking is available free of charge adjacent to the gallery.
Public car parks with disabled bays – both chargeable and free of charge – are available
within approximately 200 metres. The path from the car parks is level with dropped
kerbs and a pelican crossing on the A5. Some of the on-road parking adjacent to the
gallery is on a gradient, some is flat. The pathways around the gallery have dropped
kerbs. Car park locations are marked on our Betws-y-Coed map.
Main Entrance The main
entrance is located at the front of the building, and access is via one step approximately
160mm high onto a large porch area. Although some wheelchair users may wish to negotiate
this step with assistance, we recommend using the side entrance which is level.
Side Entrance (Disabled Entrance) To the left of the main entrance is a 900mm wide
path, signposted to disabled entrance. The entrance itself is a single door, 750mm
wide, with a level area adjacent outside and the slightest of gradients inside.
Inside
the Gallery The whole gallery is on one level on the ground floor, with very large
areas of unobstructed floorspace. The narrowest passageway in the gallery is 1m
wide. We have two sofas for any customers wishing to take the weight off their feet
for a while.
Toilet Facilities There are no public toilet facilities at the gallery.
Nearest public toilets are at the previously mentioned car parks, approximately 200
metres away. Toilet locations are marked on our Betws-y-Coed map, and in both locations
disabled facilities are available.
Guide Dogs / Disability Assistance Dogs All dogs are very welcome at the gallery,
whether assistance dogs or family pets.
